Reaching full text from PubMed

In mid-August, Norris Medical Library along with the other USC Libraries moved to a new system for linking to full-text articles from PubMed and other databases. Since some users have experienced confusion over reaching full-text articles with the new system, here are simple instructions to follow after clicking the FindIt@USC button.

  1. The FindIt link takes you to the USC Libraries catalog page
  2. In the View It section, click on a publisher link that includes the year of the article you want

There is no need to sign in to your library account. Only click on the “Sign-in” link if you want to determine the status of books you have borrowed, want to place a hold on an item, or do other functions that do not relate to obtaining full text.

Still having problems?

Use the “Need Help? Report a Problem” link if you have problems reaching the article.

Use the “Request via interlibrary loan (Health Sciences Libraries)” link if full text is not available.
