A unique resource tool provided by the Institute of Scientific Information, the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is the only source of citation data on journals. Access is available to both the JCR - Science Edition and the JCR - Social Sciences Edition.
- The Science Edition contains data from more than 8,000 journals in the areas of science and technology
- The Social Science Edition contains data from more than 2,600 journals in the social sciences
Each annual database contains the citation data from the year indicated. For every journal covered, the following information is collected or calculated:
- Citation and Article Counts,
- Impact Factor,
- Immediacy Index,
- Cited Half-Life,
- Citing Half-Life,
- Source Data Listing,
- Citing Journal Listing,
- Cited Journal Listing,
- Subject Categories,
- Publisher Information,
- Journal Title Changes.
